Ways To Style

Long January days and even longer nights have left us longing for the first signs of Spring. To brighten up a week that started with blue Monday and ended with the inauguration of The Donald (arguably the two most depressing days of the year), our WAYS TO STYLE blog this month is all about the baby pink GRAB BAG. WHY? Because the colour pink really does make the boys and girls wink. Baby, blush, fuchsia - the Spring / Summer ‘17 catwalks were awash with every shade of pink - a colour that NYC based stylist Alison Lewis describes as a "visual pick-me-up" on gloomy days.

We couldn't agree with her more.

To prove it, and to prove that pink doesn't just have to be reserved for hot, Summer days we asked the designer of the ICON REVIVED collection Hannah Louise Baxter to style the bag on one of the gloomiest of gloomy winter days. It was an oh so cold, wet and windy Wednesday (we were even expecting ‘thunder snow’), shooting in and around the Barras market in the East End of Glasgow and yet, Hannah's effortlessly stylish look with the baby pink GRAB BAG really did brighten our mood. Here are the results...

Hannah styles the GRAB BAG with a classic black polo neck knit, high-waisted jeans and her own label baby pink bustier.

If you're not sure if pink is your colour, then why not try accents of pink to start with like Hannah? Cinch in those waists with a hot pink skinny belt or wear cerise tights with a little black dress (a la moi at The Herald Fashion Awards last year).

Or even better, invest in our baby pink GRAB BAG and always remember that it's for life, not just for Summer.

The baby pink GRAB BAG is handcrafted in the UK by award-winning leather artisan Sarah Williams using the highest quality lamb nappa. All bags are lined with suede and have an internal zip pocket.
